Jammu: On Friday, the Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization hosted the ‘Textile Sourcing Fair 2024’ at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology in Srinagar. This event attracted a significant number of buyers from both India and abroad, playing a crucial role in advancing the textile industry and supporting local artisans, manufacturers, and entrepreneurs.
Khalid Jahangir, Managing Director of the J&K Trade Promotion Organization, shared with ANI, “This premier fair acts as an essential platform for buyers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders globally, fostering collaboration and innovation in the textile sector.” The event featured 37 buyer delegates, including 17 from various Indian states. The J&K Textile Sourcing Fair aims to enhance the growth and development of the textile industry while showcasing the rich heritage and skills of local artisans. Moreover, it provides opportunities for manufacturers and entrepreneurs to network and discover new market prospects.
