Chandigarh: Recently, Punjab Congress’s state president and Ludhiana MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, along with other Congress MPs from Punjab, staged a protest against BJP outside the Lok Sabha. In response, Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar has raised questions about the actions of Punjab Congress. He posted a video on social media where he wrote, “Put aside politics and pay attention to Punjab’s issues.”
It is essential to talk about Punjab. Outside the Lok Sabha building, Raja Warring was joined by Patiala MP Dharamveer Gandhi, Gurudarspur MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr. Amar Singh, and Firozpur MP Sher Singh Ghubaya, where they raised slogans against BJP. Jakhar noted that Punjab’s farmers are preparing to march towards Delhi again.
In Punjab, paddy and wheat crops are currently bought at Minimum Support Price (MSP). What has happened that farmers are facing cuts of Rs. 200 to 300? Why haven’t the Congress MPs protesting outside the Lok Sabha said anything about this? Wasn’t it their duty to raise the farmers’ voices? However, at that time, Congress’s senior leaders seemed to be focused solely on preparing for elections.
