Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the inter-state Dhali bus station on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Panchayati Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Shimla Urban Minister Harish Janartha and others were present on the occasion. A commercial complex has also been built in the bus station. Many facilities have been provided to the passengers at the bus station. At the same time, there will also be relief from traffic jams due to lack of sufficient space for buses to turn at the square.
Eight counters have been built for the operation of buses on the ground floor of the bus station. Buses will be operated from here. However, it is not yet decided which routes the buses will run from the bus station. Public toilets are also available on every floor. A waiting room has also been built here for people to sit. Restrooms have been built for drivers and conductors on the second floor. Offices of Shimla Urban and Shimla Rural Manager of HRTC have been built on the third floor of the bus station.
Special attention has been given to the facilities of passengers in the bus station. For the first time in the state, apart from waiting room for women, feeding room for lactating women has also been arranged in a bus station. Ramps have been made for the convenience of the disabled in Dhali bus station. Ramps have also been arranged in the toilets, so that the disabled do not face any problem in using them. Apart from this, canteen and cafeteria facilities will also be available for the passengers in the bus station.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu also laid the foundation stone for the expansion work of the vegetable market located in Dhali. He said that the vegetable market located in Dhali will be expanded. Parking will also be built along with new shops. Possibilities of building a CM store in Shimla will also be explored.
