Mumbai: Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni recently celebrated his son Naga Chaitanya’s marriage to Sobhita Dhulipala by sharing heartfelt moments from the occasion on social media.
In his emotional message accompanying the wedding photos, Nagarjuna expressed his joy, stating, “Watching Sobhita and Chay embark on this beautiful journey together has been a truly special moment for me. Congratulations to my dear Chay, and welcome to the family, Sobhita—you’ve already brought so much joy into our lives.”
He added that the wedding was particularly meaningful as it took place under the blessings of ANR garu’s statue, commemorating his centenary year, which made it feel as though his love and guidance were with them throughout the celebration.
Nagarjuna concluded his note by expressing gratitude for the blessings they received, writing, “I thank everyone for the countless blessings showered upon us today. #SoChay #SobhitaDhulipala @chay_akkineni.”
The wedding, held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad—a significant site for the Akkineni family since it was founded by Naga Chaitanya’s grandfather, Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, in 1976—was attended by numerous stars, including Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Nayantara, Jr. NTR, and Allu Arjun.
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita first met at an event in Hyderabad and kept their relationship private for some time. They got engaged on August 8, 2024, a milestone announced by Nagarjuna, who shared his excitement about welcoming Sobhita into the family and wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness, noting the significance of the date: “8.8.8 — A beginning of infinite love.”
