Mumbai: Actor Vikrant Massey is gearing up for his latest project, a musical love story titled “Ankhon Ki Gustakhiyan,” alongside Shanaya Kapoor.
After recently retracting his retirement announcement, Vikrant has started filming for the movie. He had previously hinted at stepping away from acting but is now back on set. The film’s opening ceremony took place with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in attendance, along with the cast and crew.
CM Dhami expressed his support, stating, “I’m pleased to see young filmmakers like Mansi and Varun Bagla highlighting the beauty of our state while telling a timeless story about love and human resilience.”
Producer Mansi Bagla emphasized the importance of casting the right actors for this romantic film, praising Vikrant Massey as a talented performer. She noted the captivating chemistry between him and debutant Shanaya Kapoor, while also highlighting Aarushi Nishank’s authenticity as a local talent from Uttarakhand.
“Ankhon Ki Gustakhiyan,” produced by Mini Films and directed by Santosh Singh, features Vikrant, Shanaya, and Aarushi. The film, written by Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla, is being shot in various locations including Mumbai, Mussoorie, Dehradun, and Europe.
Vikrant Massey, known for his role in “12th Fail,” recently clarified that he is not retiring but rather taking a break to focus on his health and family. He explained, “Acting is my passion, and it has given me so much. However, my physical and mental health has suffered, and I need time off to improve my craft. I feel a bit of monotony right now. My earlier post was misunderstood; I’m not quitting acting, just taking a break to prioritize my family and well-being. I’ll return when the time is right.”
