Punjab: On December 4, 2024, the Border Security Force (BSF), in collaboration with the Punjab Police, successfully intercepted three smuggling attempts at four locations along the Punjab-Pakistan border.
The operation resulted in the arrest of three Indian smugglers and the recovery of over five kilograms of heroin, highlighting the ongoing challenges posed by drug trafficking in the region.
Authorities also confiscated a drone believed to have been used in these smuggling activities. This concerted effort underscores the commitment of Indian security forces to enhance vigilance and combat cross-border smuggling, particularly in light of the growing concerns over drug-related crime.
