Amritsar: In a major breakthrough, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police busted trans-border narco-smuggling module. The police busted the narco smuggling module and apprehended 3 persons involved in it. Police also recovered a substantial amount of narcotics from them. The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav.

Amritsar Police arrested 3 persons of the narco smuggling module and also recovered 5 kg heroin. Police have lodged an FIR under NDPS act at Police station Sadar. Police added that Further investigations are ongoing to establish backward and forward linkages.

DGP Yadav added that the Punjab police is committed to dismantle drug networks and making Punjab drug-free.
