Panipat: A massive fire broke out in a yarn factory in Panipat, Haryana last night. In this fire, 2 employees who were present in the factory at that time were burnt alive. At the same time, the condition of 3 workers remains critical. They were admitted to the Civil Hospital. From there, 2 of the injured have been referred to Rohtak PGI. One employee has been admitted to NC Medical College in Israna. The fire brigade was informed about the fire. After which, while extinguishing the fire, the fire brigade employees took out these five employees from inside.
According to the fire brigade employees, the incident took place in the village Balana under Israna subdivision. There is a yarn factory named Shiv Fabric. This factory has been running for about 20 years. Late last night at around 12:30, a fire broke out here under suspicious circumstances. After this, the fire increased in a few seconds.
The factory owner has told that the fire started due to a short circuit. After this, 2 employees present in the factory at night were burnt alive and died. The deceased have been identified as Sumit and Tasmil. The fire has damaged the building, goods and also the machines.
The factory owner said that the fire brigade was immediately informed about the fire. Shortly after this, their vehicle reached the spot. Apart from the 5 fire stations of Panipat, vehicles were also called from Gohana in Sonipat, a nearby town.
More than 20 fire brigade vehicles kept running throughout the night to extinguish the factory fire. After working hard for about 5 hours, the fire could be controlled at around 5:30 in the morning.
