Punjab Weather Update: Drop recorded in night temperature, Adampur coldest @3.8 degrees

According to the information shared by the Meteorological Center, the effect of fog will be seen in 7 districts of Punjab today.

In Punjab-Chandigarh, a drop of about 5 degrees in temperature has been recorded in the last three days. This temperature change is being seen in night as well after snowfall in the hilly areas in the last few days. At the same time, Adampur in Punjab was the coldest in the plains of the country, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 3.8 degrees. It is estimated that there will be rain in Punjab-Chandigarh in the coming days and the temperature will drop further.

According to the information shared by the Meteorological Center, the effect of fog will be seen in 7 districts of Punjab today. Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Sangrur, and Mansa are likely to remain foggy.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert here. That is, the visibility here can reach up to 50 meters. At the same time, apart from today, fog will be seen in Punjab till Sunday.

The western disturbance will become active in Punjab from December 8. According to the Meteorological Department, its effect can last for two days. There is a possibility of light rain in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala and Jalandhar in Punjab.

After the western disturbance becomes active, there is a possibility of snowfall on the Himalayan hills as well. If there is snowfall, the cold will increase in the plains.
