Theft at house as family went to attend wedding in Rohtak, Rs 1.65 lakh cash stolen

Sadar police station registered a case of theft against an unknown person and started an investigation.

Rohtak: Thieves targeted a closed house in Rohtak’s village Ladhaut. The theft took place when the family had gone to attend a wedding ceremony. When they returned, they found the door open and the items scattered. On checking, they found that Rs 1.65 lakh cash was stolen. A complaint was lodged with the police.

Praveen, a resident of Rohtak’s village Ladhaut, complained of theft at Sadar police station. He told in the complaint that he works in a farm. His family had gone to Meham to attend a wedding ceremony. He went to attend the wedding ceremony at around 12:30 in the afternoon. He returned home from the wedding ceremony at around 7 in the night. When he reached home, he saw that the door of his house was open.

When he went inside the house and looked, he found that the items on the bed were scattered. Based on suspicion, he checked the bed, but the Rs 1 lakh 65 thousand kept under the suits in the bed was not found. Some unknown person entered the house and stole the money. After this, a complaint was lodged with the police. Sadar police station registered a case of theft against an unknown person and started an investigation.
