A theft took place in Santoshi Mata Mandir located in Jalalpur Pratham village of Sanauli town of Panipat district of Haryana. Here thieves broke in at night and stole cash, silver jewellery, and other items worth lakhs of rupees belonging to the sevadaar. The matter was revealed when the sevadaar reached the temple as usual in the morning.
Two thieves were caught in CCTV footage. A complaint was lodged with the police. The police have registered a case based on the complaint. In a complaint given to Sanauli police station, Kalyan Giri said that he lives in Santoshi Mata Mandir located in Jalalpur Pratham village. He is a sevadaar in the temple. On the night of December 14, he finished the work of the temple and went to sleep in his room.
The next morning when he went to the temple, he saw that there was a theft in the temple. A box was stolen from the temple. He had kept 2 lakh 58 thousand cash, a mobile phone, a silver chain weighing 5 tolas, silver ring weighing 6 grams. Apart from this, the Wi-Fi box was also stolen.
CCTV cameras installed in the temple premises were checked. During this time it was seen that two thieves had entered the temple to commit the crime. They had covered their faces and were wearing shawls. After entering, the thieves uprooted the WiFi setup to cut the CCTV cameras. They are being searched in the nearby areas.
