Srinagar: An encounter is underway between security forces and terrorists in the Kadder area of Kulgam district, as reported by the police on Thursday. They confirmed that the operation was launched following intelligence about terrorist presence in the region.
This incident is part of a recent series of encounters in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the elimination of many terrorists and their commanders, although security forces have also suffered casualties.
Notably, terrorist activities are expanding into previously safer regions like Srinagar and the Chenab Valley, as well as Udhampur and Kathua in Jammu.
