Mumbai: “American Warrior,” a compelling story of redemption and transformation, was showcased at the Culver City Film Festival in Los Angeles on December 14. This screening followed its successful premiere at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on November 24, where it received significant international acclaim.
Vishy Ayyar, who stars as the lead character, expressed his deep connection to the film, stating, “This film means everything to me—it’s been my life, my blood, sweat, and tears for over a decade. I poured my heart into it, and it was both humbling and gratifying. I couldn’t have accomplished this without my amazing team. Special thanks to our lead producer Naveen Chathapuram, my manager Cristy Coors Beasley who also took on a producer role, and Rashana Shah and Chaitra from Women and Cloud for their essential support. I also want to recognize our director Gustavo Martin for his brilliant screenplay that brought my story to life. This film is the result of many talented individuals collaborating to realize a shared vision.”
In addition to its success in Goa, “American Warrior” has competed at various international festivals, including the 33rd Heartland Film Festival, Tallgrass Film Festival, Tasveer Film Festival, San Antonio Film Festival, and the Santa Fe Film Festival in 2024.
