Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a chargesheet against two associates of Canada-based gangster-turned-terrorist Lakhbir Singh “Landa” in a special court in Mohali, concerning a terror conspiracy case.
The individuals charged, Jaspreet Singh, also known as Jass, from Ferozepur in Punjab, and Baljeet Singh, known as Rana Bhai, from Badwani district in Madhya Pradesh, were part of a terror gang orchestrated by the foreign-based Khalistani terrorist Landa.
According to the NIA’s investigation, Jass acted as an on-ground operative for Landa and his associate Pattu Khaira, while Rana Bhai played a role in supplying weapons to members of the Landa gang and other criminal groups.
An NIA official stated, “During the investigation, it was found that Jass was engaged in Landa’s drug trafficking and extortion operations, aimed at funding Babbar Khalsa International.” The officer also noted that Baljeet was locally producing weapons and utilizing social media to distribute them to operatives connected to Landa’s gang. “Baljeet was among several local weapons suppliers that the terrorists had collaborated with across the country for arms and ammunition,” the officer added.
