In Ludhiana, miscreants who came to a hotel posing as CIA personnel beat up two people and looted Rs 16 lakh and two mobile phones from them. The miscreants also took a young man hostage. Immediately after the incident, the victims raised an alarm and immediately informed the police. The police of Model Town police station is investigating the matter.
Giving information to the police, the victim Amarjit Singh said that he was talking to a person named Raj Kumar. Raj Kumar had to send his Damanpreet Singh to Canada. A deal was fixed for Rs 16 lakh in this regard. The Rs 16 lakh was to be given after reaching Canada.
According to Amarjit Singh, Raj Kumar told him that he is sending his son Amit Kumar and he should show him only Rs 16 lakh. Amit is a resident of Delhi. According to Amarjit, he got a call from Amit Kumar. He told him that he is staying at Hotel Regenta Classic.
Amarjit said that he stayed in the hotel with Amit Kumar along with his friend Gaurav Sharma. At that time he also had Rs 16 lakh in cash.
At around 3:30, Amit Kumar opened the door of the room. Then 5-6 people forcefully entered the room. They said that they were from the CIA staff. The criminals beat him by keeping a pistol on his temple. Gaurav Sharma was held hostage and 16 lakh rupees and both mobile phones were looted. Police is investigating the matter.
