Mumbai: Popular television actress Rajshree Thakur took a memorable ride on Mumbai’s iconic local trains to honor the city’s unsung heroes—multitasking women who, much like her character Avani Trivedi from “Bas Itna Sa Khwaab,” skillfully juggle work and home responsibilities.

Reflecting on her experience, Rajshree shared, “As Avani in Bas Itna Sa Khwaab, I have the privilege of playing a woman who makes the decision to step outside her home to help realize her family’s dream of a better future while remaining grounded in her household duties. Meeting these remarkable women on the train was genuinely humbling.”

She noted the similarities between the passengers and her character, highlighting their strength, resilience, and quiet heroism, which form the backbone of society. Their inspiring tales of managing long commutes, challenging jobs, and family obligations left a lasting impression on her.

During her journey, Rajshree not only surprised the female passengers but also engaged in heartfelt conversations about their struggles and successes, played antakshari, and shared vada pav, one of Mumbai’s favorite snacks. Each interaction reinforced her belief in the extraordinary nature of everyday women.

“I hope my portrayal of Avani motivates more women to pursue their dreams while achieving the balance they deserve,” she added.

“Bas Itna Sa Khwaab” airs daily on Zee TV.

In addition to her current role, Rajshree made her film debut in the 2004 movie “Hava Aney Dey” and gained fame with the popular series “Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar.” She also portrayed Maharani Jaiwanta Bai Songara, Maharana Pratap’s mother, in “Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.” In August 2020, she starred as Preeti Jindal in “Shaadi Mubarak” alongside Manav Gohil but left the show in October due to a busy schedule. Her most recent appearance was in “Appnapan – Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan.”

Rajshree married her childhood friend Sanjot Vaidya in a Hindu ceremony in February 2007, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Nyraa, in August 2017.
