Mumbai: The ongoing rivalry between AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh has taken a fresh turn, with Dhillon openly criticizing concert ticketing practices during his appearance on The Ranveer Show. While addressing the trend of concerts selling out within seconds, a phenomenon prominently associated with Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour, Dhillon didn’t hold back.

Speaking about the issue, AP Dhillon said, “India mein abhi crisis aa jayega agar isi hisab se chalta raha (There’ll come a crisis in India if things go on like this). Artists are being unfair with their own fans ki 15 seconds mein sell out ho gaye shows. Kuchh bhi sell out nahi hua hai (that shows sold out within 15 seconds. Nothing is sold out).”

He alleged that many artists and promoters manipulate ticket availability to create a false sense of exclusivity. “Promoters ko ticket de dete hain. Their fans, ab unko wait karna padta hai, aur higher price mein ticket khareedna padta hai (They sell tickets to promoters. The fans have to wait and buy tickets at higher prices),” Dhillon remarked, describing the practice as a “dirty game.”

The singer also criticised how this strategy undermines genuine fans. “Jinhone show dekhne aana tha, humne unke sath aise kiya (Those who wanted to attend the show, we did this to them).” He added, “Log music ko abhi game ki tarah khel rahe hain. So usi mein mazza jo hai kharab ho gaya (People are playing music like a game. That’s sucked the joy out of it).”

Diljit Dosanjh Responds

The feud between the two stars escalated recently when Dhillon alleged during a Chandigarh concert that Diljit had blocked him on Instagram. This came after Diljit’s shoutout to Dhillon, which appeared to downplay any tension.

Reacting to the claim, Diljit shared a screenshot on Instagram, clarifying, “I never blocked you. Mere pange sarkaaran naal ho sakde aa, kalaakaran naal nahi (My issues could be with governments, not with artists).”* Dhillon later posted a video showing the account status before and after the alleged block, adding, “At least now we know what’s real and what’s not.”

Fan Reactions

Fans have been quick to take sides, debating whether Dhillon’s critique points to larger industry issues or simply fuels the feud. While Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour continues to draw massive crowds, Dhillon’s comments have sparked a conversation about the ethics of ticket sales and accessibility.

As the debate unfolds, one thing is clear—AP Dhillon isn’t afraid to challenge the norms, even if it means taking on some of the industry’s biggest names.
