Haryana ACB arrest accused red handed from Kharkhoda while taking bribe of Rs 57 thousand

In this matter, a case has been registered against the accused in the Rohtak Anti Corruption Bureau Police Station and he has been arrested.

Sonipat: Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau’s campaign against corruption is continuing. The Rohtak team of the Bureau today arrested Roshan Lal red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 57000 in Kharkhoda of Sonipat district. According to the complainant, Roshan Lal demanded a bribe of Rs 62000 by telling him he was a JE of the Electricity Corporation.

In this matter, a case has been registered against the accused in the Rohtak Anti Corruption Bureau Police Station and he has been arrested. An investigation is going on. Anti Corruption Bureau SP Anshu Singla appealed to the general public and said that if any person demands a bribe in exchange for doing government work, then do not give a bribe to him and inform the Anti Corruption Bureau about it. He said a detailed investigation is being done from different angles in this case. Strict action will be taken against all the accused involved in this.

Giving information about this, the government spokesperson said that the Anti Corruption Bureau team had received a complaint in this regard in which the complainant told that government electricity line poles had been installed in his fields. The complainant said that in this regard, Roshan Lal came to his house on 31 December 2024 and introduced himself as JE.

The accused showed two cheques to the complainant whose total amount was Rs 2,26,500 and said that these cheques were yours, these were compensation cheques for the damage caused to your crop while installing electricity poles.

To provide this compensation amount, Roshan Lal demanded a bribe of Rs 62000 from the complainant. Based on the information given by the complainant to the ACB, a plan was made to catch the accused, which led to the success of catching the accused Roshan Lal red-handed with a bribe of Rs 57000. This entire action was done with transparency in front of witnesses.
