Jalandhar: Man injured after throat slit by plastic string

A 45-year-old man was injured in Jalandhar, due to a plastic string (dor). The man’s throat was cut after coming in contact with a plastic dor near Adampur.  Fortunately, the cut due to the string was not deep and thus windpipe was saved. Immediately after the incident, Harpreet Singh, a resident of Saroba village, was admitted to the hospital for treatment. At present, the man’s life is out of danger.

Satinder Kaur, wife of Harpreet Singh, son of Baldev Singh, a resident of Saroba village, said that her husband had gone to Adampur on a motorcycle in the afternoon. While returning, his throat was cut after getting entangled in a plastic rope in Nahal village and he fell unconscious on the road. Passersby and villagers admitted him to a private hospital, where his condition is said to be very critical.

According to the doctor, his windpipe is fine and the rest of his throat has been cut and treatment is going on.
