Jalandhar: Dear readers, today your beloved Dainik Savera has turned 13 years old and has entered the 14th year. When I started publishing Dainik Savera with the blessings of Maa Bhagwati and with the desire for your support, I had full faith in Maa Bhagwati that Dainik Savera will become the heartbeat of all of you. I was 100% sure that Dainik Savera would become the number-one daily newspaper in North India. I had faith in all of you that you will support me and I will achieve my goal. But I want to say from the depths of my heart that you have given me much more love and support than I had expected. Undoubtedly, the blessings of God and Goddess Mother are behind this too, but I want to say from the depths of my heart that I will always be indebted to you for the love and support you have given me.
My parents’ blessings and the full support of my brothers, sisters and all friends were also with me. I am very fortunate that God gave me such parents, siblings, and friends who were with me at every step and always kept a hand on my back. I have reached many milestones in life in industry and business with the help of friends and colleagues, but I did not start Dainik Savera as an industry or business. I was aware even before starting it that I may suffer financial loss in it, but it was my mission, it is and will continue to be so. I had to raise the falling standards of journalism, I had to protect unbiased journalism. I had to tell the whole society that journalism is not a business, but journalism is a mirror, whose job is to show the truth to the society. I started publishing Dainik Savera to clean the dust that was falling on that mirror.
If I talk about the journey till today, I can say that although the dust has not been cleaned completely, to a large extent I have been successful in cleaning that dust. If Dainik Savera has become the most widely reached newspaper of Punjab, then it clearly means that readers now prefer unbiased newspapers. People associated with the world of journalism know that the circulation of biased newspapers has decreased and the circulation of Dainik Savera is constantly increasing.
But I have no hesitation in saying that all my editors, journalists, and other colleagues have also contributed a lot in reaching where we have reached today. If I do not express my gratitude to them, then I will commit a big mistake. They are my biggest strength and their hard work has played a very big role in the success of Dainik Savera. Thanks to all the readers who have adopted Dainik Savera and especially to those who point out our mistakes and give us an opportunity to improve. Thanks to those who send suggestions and also to those who tell others that Dainik Savera is the best and unbiased newspaper and start reading it. Thanks to them too. Due to the hard work of our entire team, readers accepted the impartiality of Dainik Savera and your Dainik Savera not only became the first choice of readers, not only became the leader in circulation, but advertisers also soon realized its reliability. It is no small matter that with your support we are moving ahead achieving one milestone after another – the destination of circulation, the destination of excellent printing, the destination of excellent magazine page, the destination of being at the forefront in sports coverage, the destination of success by being impartial in the article page.
Now the English daily ‘The Savera Times’ is also being published successfully and its circulation is also increasing continuously. It is a matter of happiness that just as you loved Dainik Savera, in the same way you people are loving ‘The Savera Times’ as well. Today I do not have words to express my gratitude to all of you. I also have to thank all my editors, journalists, agents, hawkers and managers. My family is my biggest strength. I thank you all for the way you and I are progressing from one destination to another and I thank Maa Bhavani for that. Congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the anniversary of Dainik Savera. Keep showering your love on me and Dainik Savera in the future too.
You taught me to walk, my friends.
You brought me to where I am, my friends!!
Yours, Sheetal Vij.
