Shimla: Shimla Police has taken a major action under the Mission Clean campaign being run against drugs. Police has arrested a person with illegal drugs in Deorighat. The accused was running illegal drug business from his old house.
The police had received secret information that a person was doing drug business from his house in Deorighat of Theog. Taking immediate action on this information, the police raided. 43-year-old Harish Verma was arrested from the spot. 8.57 grams of chitta, 19 grams of charas and cash worth Rs 75,000 were recovered from the accused.
The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act. At present, the police is interrogating the accused and the matter is being investigated thoroughly. Shimla Police says that the campaign against drug smugglers will continue and such action will be taken in future as well.
