Shimla: An important beginning has been made towards taking football to new heights in Himachal Pradesh. Shimla Football Club and Hyderabad’s Srinidhi Deccan Football Club together organized a 7-day football scouting camp in Junga, Shimla. More than 60 young players aged 10 to 17 years from across the state participated in this camp.
Srinidhi Deccan FC’s Under-17 Head Coach Jaipal Singh Munda and Under-14 Head Coach Huirem Elangcha led the camp. Renowned and experienced coaches of the country taught the players the nuances of football and helped them hone their skills. Talented players who perform well in this camp will get the opportunity to train with scholarship at the Residential Academy of Srinidhi Deccan FC in Hyderabad.
International level coaching received in the camp – Abhinav
Shimla FC co-founder Abhinav Nekta said that this initiative will provide a unique opportunity to the young players of Himachal to showcase their talent at the national level. This camp not only gave the players an opportunity to receive international level coaching, but it also reflects the growing popularity of football in Himachal.
The participating players and their families appreciated both the clubs for this unique initiative. This event can prove to be an important step towards the development of football in the state and providing a professional platform to young talents.
