Two arrested for stealing mobiles worth 12 lakhs in Nuh,15 phones and car recovered

15 mobiles and the car used in the crime have been recovered from the possession of the accused.

Revealing the incident of theft of mobiles and other goods worth Rs 12 lakh from a BJP leader’s showroom in Tawadu of Nuh district on January 8, the Tawadu CIA team has arrested two accused. 15 mobiles and the car used in the crime have been recovered from the possession of the accused. The police have revealed the crime on the basis of CCTV footage.

The police spokesperson said that on January 8, unknown miscreants broke into a mobile showroom located at Rewari Marg Bawala Check in Tawadu city and stole mobiles and valuables worth about Rs 12 lakh. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera.

The Tawadu city police station registered a case on the statement of mobile showroom owner Suresh Kumar Agarwal. The investigation of the case was handed over to the Tawadu CIA. The team formed under the leadership of ASI Dharmendra started investigating the case with technical help.

Four days after the incident, on Sunday night, ASI Dharmendra received information that two youths who had committed the theft in a mobile showroom in the city were trying to sell the stolen mobiles. They would be going towards Sohna in a car.

After this information, the team set up a blockade near KMP Road on Sohna Road and caught the accused. On interrogation, both the youths were identified as Rizwan and Mohammad Saif. On searching the car, 15 mobiles were recovered. One of the accused involved in this incident, Chand son of Rahmatullah, resident of Salamba, was arrested by Sohna police two days ago in a cow slaughter case and sent to jail, while the police is searching for another accused.
