New Delhi: In a major blow to Trans-Border Narcotic Networks, Tarn Taran police busted a cross-border drug cartel. The police have also arrested the kingpin of the drug cartel. The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

The arrested kingpin was in contact with multiple Pakistan-based smugglers. Drones were utilised to ferry drugs across border. As per police, 5 Kg heroin has been recovered and an FIR under the NDPS act has been registered at Police station Sadar Patti, Tarn Taran.
Police are carrying out an investigation to reveal the forward and backward linkages. DGP Yadav added that Punjab Police is committed to resolve the issue of drug trafficking and ensuring a safer Punjab.
