Sanjay’s Polygraph Test

On August 25, the CBI conducted a polygraph test of Sanjay in Kolkata’s Presidency Jail with the help of the Central Forensic Team. The officials questioned him for about 3 hours. The CBI ruled out the possibility of gangrape in its investigation and said that Sanjay Roy in the only accused in the case. CBI had filed a chargesheet in the High Court on October 7, naming Sanjay as the sole accused in the rape-murder case. Sanjay was working as a civic volunteer with the Kolkata Police. The agency said that the trainee doctor was not gang-raped.

The charge sheet included statements of 100 witnesses, 12 polygraph test reports, CCTV footage, forensic reports, mobile call details, and location. On the day of the incident, the accused’s earphones and mobile were connected to Bluetooth. This was also considered important evidence, as per police.

The chargesheet also states that the semen sample and blood recovered from the victim’s body matched with the accused. The tiny hairs found at the crime scene also matched with the accused’s hair after forensic tests.
