India’s Champions Trophy Squad announced, Rohit retains Captaincy

Captain Rohit Sharma and Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar were present at the press conference.

New Delhi: BCCI announced Team India on Saturday for the Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma is still the captain of the team, and Shubman Gill will be the vice-captain. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has got a chance in the team. Shami has been out of the team since November 2023 due to injury.

BCCI informed about the 15-member squad in a press conference at 12:30 pm at Wankhede Stadium. Captain Rohit Sharma and Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar were present at the press conference.

The Champions Trophy is to be held in 4 cities of Pakistan and UAE from 19 February to 9 March. These include Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Dubai. All the matches of the Indian team will be played in Dubai.
