Girl dies during paragliding in Dharamshala: Fell into 60 feet deep gorge

Dharamshala: A 19-year-old girl from Gujarat died in an accident at the popular Indranag paragliding site in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, late Tuesday evening, while the pilot was seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Bhavsar Khushi (19), daughter of Jignesh Sahajanand Avenue Near Torrent Power Ltd. Naranpura Ahmedabad. The injured pilot has been identified.

The injured pilot has been identified as Munish Kumar son Pyare Lal resident Tahu Chola, Dharamshala. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

The incident took place at 5:55 pm and Khushi took off for paragliding. The special thing is that paragliding was allowed only till 5 pm. According to Narayan, SHO of Dharamshala Police Station, the girl fell into a 60 feet deep gorge due to the paraglider not opening while flying.

Police engaged in investigation

After the accident, the family immediately took Khushi to Zonal Hospital Dharamshala. Where the doctors declared him dead. The police have taken the body in their custody and started further action. Considering the seriousness of the incident, the police have recorded the statements of the family members and the paraglider pilot. Also, information related to the pilot is also being collected for a detailed investigation of the accident.
