ED raids in 3 states including Punjab-Haryana: Action taken against 11 companies in 72 hours

Jalandhar ED team of Punjab has seized 2 ultra-luxury cars and 3 lakh cash in a money laundering case by raiding 11 places in 3 states from January 17 to January 20. ED has taken this action against ViewNow Marketing Services. ED team raided a total of 11 locations in Gurugram, Panchkula, Jind in Haryana, Mohali in Punjab, and Mumbai. ED shared the information about this raid in a statement issued on Monday night.

Jalandhar ED said that the teams raided a total of eleven places from January 17 to January 20 and seized vehicles, money, and other equipment. The companies included ViewNow Infratech Limited, Big Boy Toys, Mandeshi Foods Private Limited, Plankdot Private Limited, ByteCanvas LLP, Skyverse, Skylink Network and residential and business premises of related entities and individuals.

The search operation was conducted under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 in connection with a money laundering investigation against ViewNow Marketing Services Limited. During the search operation, several items including a Land Cruiser (2.20 crores), Mercedes G-Wagon (4 crores), cash worth Rs 3 lakh, incriminating documents, records and digital devices have been seized.

The ED initiated the investigation on the basis of an FIR registered by Gautam Buddh Nagar, Noida Police under various sections of BNS 2023. These FIRs were registered on the basis of information shared by the ED.

The ED investigation revealed that ViewNow Marketing Services Limited (M/s VMSL) in connivance with other group entities induced various investors to invest their money by promising high rental returns under the guise of selling cloud particles and leasing back those particles (SLB model) while there was no adequate infrastructure for the same.
