Mumbai: In a recent interview, both Abdu Rozik and Elvish Yadav discussed being paired together on the show and how their perceptions of each other have evolved.
The much-anticipated Laughter Chefs 2 is set to make its grand return to television, airing on Colours TV from 25 January. To build excitement, the producers have been releasing numerous promotional clips ahead of the premiere. While several participants from the inaugural season are returning, this season will introduce fresh pairings, adding an exciting twist to the show. Among the most talked-about duos this year are Abdu Rozik and Elvish Yadav, who will be seen cooking together.
In a recent interview with leading news portal, Abdu Rozik shared that he initially had reservations about teaming up with Elvish but later discovered his true personality. “I thought he’d be this serious, tough guy, but Elvish is full of surprises. He’s the sort of person who’ll roast you on e moment and have your back the next,” Abdu revealed.
He added that, despite coming from different backgrounds, their partnership has been nothing short of magical. Elvish’s sense of humour has not only brought joy to their journey but also taught him to embrace life’s chaos, particularly in the kitchen. “Together, we’re unstoppable,” Abdu concluded, hinting at the fun-filled chemistry fans can look forward to this season.
Elvish Yadav also expressed how much fun he has had working with Abdu on set. Elvish said, “Abdu is wild! Sometimes I’m like, ‘Mate, we’re supposed to cook, not have a food fight!’ But honestly, he’s the life of the show. He makes me laugh so much I forget we’re competing.”
Earlier, a promotional clip featuring Elvish Yadav and Abdu Rozik was released by the channel. The clip begins with Elvish struggling to recognise semolina (suji). Seeking help from Bharti Singh, he humourously asks her, “I need semolina—what does it even look like?” Later, Elvish makes a hilarious remark while preparing a dessert with Abdu. As Elvish speaks fluent English, Bharti looks on, clearly impressed.
Apart from Elvish Yadav and Abdu Rozik, the upcoming season of Laughter Chefs will feature Rahul Vaidya, Sudesh Lehri, Rubina Dilaik, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, Mannara Chopra, Abhishek Kumar, and Samarth Jurel as participants. Bharti Singh will reprise her role as host, and renowned chef Harpal Singh will serve as the expert judge. Laughter Chefs Season 2 will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm.
