Electric Buses in 5 more cities of Haryana from January 26

JBM company will provide its own drivers to run these buses while the conductors will be from Roadways.

Hisar: New electric buses are going to run in 5 more cities of Haryana from January 26. Buses have reached Hisar, Rohtak, Rewari, Sonipat, and Ambala. Routes of these buses have been decided. The minimum fare in these buses will be Rs 10. These buses will run for about 200 km on a single charge. The special thing about these buses is that the convenience and safety of women has been taken care of.

Due to the low floor, elderly and children will also be able to board these buses easily. JBM company will provide its own drivers to run these buses while the conductors will be from Roadways. Although right now the company is talking about keeping its own conductors, but Roadways wants the conductors to be theirs.

These buses are already running in 4 cities of Haryana which include Karnal, Panipat, Faridabad, and Yamunanagar. Electric buses are already running in Gurugram. After January 26, there will be 10 cities in Haryana in which electric buses will run, this will not harm the environment. These will be completely fuel-free.

The Government of India launched the “PM-eBus Seva Yojana” on 16 August 2023 with the aim of increasing bus operations by deploying 10,000 electric buses on the PPP model.
