However, for the last three years, the temperature in January has been reaching 22 to 24 degrees. Due to the weakening of the north-western winds, both cold wave and fog have disappeared. Due to this, the temperature has increased during the day, while the night temperature remains around normal.
Wheat will be harmed if heat increases
Agricultural scientists say that if the temperature continues to increase like this in January and there is relief in the coming days, then it can affect the wheat crop. Due to excessive heat, the ears of wheat come out early and it affects the grain, which can reduce the production cost. But scientists are hopeful that the cold is yet to come and the temperature will change again.
The winds coming from the mountains have weakened: Khichad
Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Haryana Agricultural University, says that the weather in Haryana is likely to remain generally dry till January 28.
During this time, there is a possibility of a drop in night temperature due to the north and north-west cold winds blowing at a light speed. During this time, there is also a possibility of fog at some places in the morning, evening and late night.
IMD meteorologists say that the cold will be felt only in the morning and evening, but there will definitely be relief from fog and cold wave. The day temperature will remain around normal in the entire region, while the night temperature will be below normal. This year on 26 January Republic Day, the weather in Haryana will be clear, dry and pleasant.
There is no effect on wheat yet, HAU is continuously monitoring
HAU wheat expert Dr. OP Bishnoi says that the weather is normal right now. Although the day temperature has increased, the night temperature is still favorable for wheat. If the day temperature continues to rise like this for a few more days, it may affect wheat.
Due to heat, the ears appear early in wheat plants. Its effect may be more visible on early wheat. But farmers do not need to worry right now, because Haryana Agricultural University is constantly monitoring the weather and its effects. There is no problem of any kind in wheat right now. The temperature may decrease in the coming days.
