Prayagraj: A revamped AI chatbot is now available to help pilgrims at the Mahakumbh 2025 by providing information on parking, food courts, and hospitals within a 1 km radius.

This updated version of the chatbot includes three new features aimed at assisting devotees. It offers a comprehensive map of the Mahakumbh, along with detailed information about each sector and links to Google Maps.

Through this chatbot, pilgrims can quickly find information on parking, transportation, banking, public water ATMs, and other essential services in just seconds. The government has noted that the chatbot allows devotees to download real-time PDFs containing information about toilets, lost and found centers, exhibitions, and other important locations based on their preferences.

By scanning a QR code, users can instantly access information about key locations directly on their mobile devices. Millions of devotees have already benefited from this AI chatbot, which the government claims enhances convenience for attendees of the Mahakumbh. This integration of technology and spirituality is making the world’s largest religious gathering more organized and user-friendly.

In addition, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has implemented its AI-driven language translation tool, Bhashini, at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj to improve accessibility in 11 languages. Bhashini’s translation ecosystem supports attendees through a ‘Digital Lost & Found Solution,’ allowing people to report lost or found items using voice commands in their native languages. The platform also facilitates real-time text and voice translation for easier communication during the event, along with multilingual chatbot assistance for inquiries and kiosk navigation.

Devotees can utilize a mobile app to translate guidelines into local languages and communicate seamlessly with police officials. The Uttar Pradesh Police Department has collaborated with the Bhashini app to train field officers in using its Converse feature to understand and address the concerns of devotees facing language barriers.
