In discussing the investigation, DGP Khurania noted, “On the night of January 30-31, a robbery occurred at a distillation center in Kalahandi district, executed by eight masked individuals. Cash was recovered during a search of the nearby jungle area. In less than 24 hours, all eight suspects, hailing from the Ranchi district of Jharkhand, were arrested. Khurania further stated that the suspects are seasoned criminals, each with a history of various criminal cases. “All of the accused are professional criminals with multiple cases against them, and some may have previously served time in jail,” he added.
The successful operation was the result of collaboration among 11 district police teams from both Jharkhand and Odisha, who worked diligently to locate and apprehend the suspects.
