Hoshiarpur: A case of death of a youth has come to light after a vehicle fell into the canal late last night near Bist Doab Canal and village Aima Jattan on Hoshiarpur to Garhshanker Road.
According to the information, when the passersby saw the vehicle fallen into the canal in the morning, they informed the Kotfatuhi police post. After investigation, the deceased has been identified as Jatinder Singh alias Mauji, age 28, son of Gurdeep Singh village Padrana.
According to the information, the deceased Jatinder Singh was going from Kotfatuhi Wali to village Padrana for some program. When he reached near Ema Jattan, the balance of the vehicle got disturbed due to fog and the vehicle fell into the canal and overturned for a long distance.
There is a wave of mourning in the village after receiving the news of this accident. In this regard, Sukhwinder Singh ASI Outpost Incharge Kotfatuhi said that the body is being taken out of the canal and kept in Civil Hospital Garhshanker for post-mortem and appropriate action will be taken on the basis of the statements of the family members.
