Liquor shops to remain close in this city on Feb 11 and 12, Read to know more

sale of meat and liquor has been banned on February 11 and 12 on the route of Shobha Yatra and near the religious gathering place during the said event in Jalandhar district.

Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has given instructions to maintain law and order keeping in mind the religious sentiments of the people in view of the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji on February 12 and the Shobha Yatra to be taken out by various religious organizations on February 11.

Using the powers vested in him under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023, BNS CrPC, the sale of meat and liquor has been banned on February 11 and 12 on the route of Shobha Yatra and near the religious gathering place during the said event in Jalandhar district.

District Magistrate Jalandhar Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, keeping in view the religious sentiments of the people and to maintain law and order situation in view of the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji on February 12 and the Shobha Yatra being taken out by various religious organizations on February 11, has imposed a ban on the sale of meat and liquor on February 11 and 12, 2025, on the route of Shobha Yatra and near the place of religious ceremony during the said event in Jalandhar district.
