Mumbai: Renowned singer Sonu Nigam has shared a video detailing the ‘excruciating pain’ he endured just before his concert in Pune. Taking to Instagram, Sonu posted clips of himself experiencing discomfort but still performing for his audience.
Sonu Nigam Suffers ‘Excruciating Pain’ Before Performance
In the edited video, Sonu is seen lying in bed, speaking to the camera while wincing in pain as his team assists him. He was later spotted stepping down from the stage with the help of others, stretching in an attempt to alleviate his discomfort. However, despite the issue arising just before his performance, Sonu remained undeterred. He was even seen dancing enthusiastically on stage.
‘One of the Most Difficult Days of My Life’
Speaking in the video, Sonu said, “One of the most difficult days of my life but also very fulfilling. I was thinking, when we sing and move to the rhythm, it might have triggered the spasm. But I managed somehow. I never want to give less than my best when people expect so much from me. Thankfully, it went well.”
“But the pain was excruciating, truly unbearable. It felt as if a needle was piercing my spine. Even the slightest movement would make it feel as if the needle was digging deeper. It was really bad,” he added.
Sharing the video, Sonu captioned it, “Goddess Saraswati did hold my hand last night (folded hands emoji).”
Fans Praise Sonu’s Dedication
Sonu also shared a post from a fan on his Instagram Stories, which read in Hindi: “Last night, Sonu Nigam had a concert in Pune. Before the show, he was suffering from severe back pain. However, as soon as he stepped on stage, he ensured that his fans did not feel any of it. He performed with twice the energy. It was truly incredible. I hope this energy stays with you always.”
