American Detention centers overcrowded: 109% more immigrants than capacity

Washington: Many new revelations are coming to light after the return of Indian immigrants being deported from America. America has so far identified 20,407 Indians without valid documents.

All of them are called illegal Indian immigrants. They are waiting for the final eviction order.

Of these, 2,467 Indians were imprisoned in the detention centers of Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE). Of these, 104 were recently deported to India.

Apart from this, there are 17,940 Indians who are outside, many of these Indians have digital trackers (ankle monitors) installed in their feet. ICE tracks their location 24 hours a day. These people cannot go out of the designated location.

There are more people than capacity in American detention centers.

A report on American detention centers has revealed some big things. ICE said that there are 109% more people in their detention centers than their capacity.

According to data from the Department of Homeland Security, the total capacity of detention centers is 38,521 beds. At present, there are 42 thousand illegal immigrants in these centers. Half of them were arrested at the Mexican border.

The hands and feet of the Indians were tied with chains and put on the plane. The US military’s C-17 plane carrying 104 Indians deported from America landed at Amritsar airport in Punjab on February 5.

These people were shackled on their feet, while their hands were also tied with chains. US Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks has shared a video of this on his X handle. In this video, shackles can be clearly seen on the hands and feet of the Indians.
