Criticism of the statement regarding uploading crop photos

The farmers’ agitation continues at Shambhu border as well. Addressing the media, Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the government is trying to push farmers towards private mandis. He criticized the statement of Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chauhan, in which it was said that better prices can be obtained by uploading crop photos on the app.

Pandher said that the main demand of the farmers is the MSP guarantee law, so that the government does not stop the farmers from going to the market. He alleged that vegetables, fruits and other crops are already being sold at low prices in private markets, due to which farmers are getting burdened with debt.

Third phase of holy water yatra from Haryana

Today, in the third phase of the holy water journey from Haryana, a group of more than 50 villages will reach the Datasinghwala-Khanauri Kisan Morcha carrying water from the tubewells of their fields. This water journey is being seen as a symbol of unity and struggle of the farmers.

The farmer leaders participating in the movement have appealed to the government to take positive steps on their demands as soon as possible. At the same time, a large number of farmers are expected to participate in the upcoming Mahapanchayats, which is expected to give more momentum to the movement.
