Panipat: The body of Shrutika, a 25-year-old blogger from Delhi who jumped into the canal in Panipat, has been found in Khubru Jhaal, Sonipat. The girl jumped into the canal with her live-in partner after a quarrel. But the boy came out immediately and the girl drowned in the water. The girl had come to meet her live-in partner at a hotel on Jatt Road in Panipat on the night of Wednesday, February 5.
Her partner has clarified to the police that he jumped into the canal to save her. Both of them were living in a live-in relationship in Delhi for seven months. The girl’s mother has complained about the matter to the police. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused youth under section 108 of the BNS.
The family found out on their own
In a complaint lodged at Model Town police station, Delhi resident Shalini said that her daughter Shrutika was in a live-in relationship with Sanjit Maan of Mor Majra for 6-7 months. Both wanted to get married. On February 5, Shrutika left the house saying that she was going to meet Sanjit. That night at around 11 pm, Shrutika chatted with her family on mobile.
In which she wrote that there are two other boys with Sanjit. There was a quarrel with Sanjit. Sanjit has sold the ring given by her. On 6 February, when Shrutika called the number on which she had ordered food, it got connected to a hotel. Where a person told that your daughter has jumped into the canal. After that the family also sought information from the police.
The family said that the partner had earlier also fought in Delhi
Mother Shalini has alleged that Sanjit Mann used to harass daughter Shrutika mentally. There was a scuffle in Delhi on 13 January as well. Fed up with Sanjit, Shrutika went out to jump into the canal.
The hotel staff stopped him. Then Sanjit also reached the spot. Later when both of them fell into the canal, Sanjit came out and Shrutika could not come out.
