Hoshiarpur: Hoshiarpur police was receiving information from past few days that illegal mining is going on in village Chandiyal of Hoshiarpur. They informed several times to the Mining and geology department about this complaint but none of them took any action against them after that the police department themselves took action towards them.
After reaching the spot police seized a JCB and two tippers while doing illegal mining on the back side of Amber Palace in Village Chandiyal near Tanda Road in Hoshiarpur.
SSP Surendra Lamba said that on the spot, police caught a JCB and two tippers doing illegal mining. On this basis, the police of Model Town police station took action and arrested two persons. One person has been identified as Somnath son of Sohanlal resident of Kako and the other has been identified as Sukhwinder Kumar Uttar Darshan Singh resident of village Patial.
Let us inform you that the police was conducting an investigation on the basis of which the police received a call that illegal mining is being done near Village Chandiyal near Tanda Road. If you reach there now, you can be caught while doing illegal mining. For this, the police set a trap and seized two similar tippers while doing illegal mining.
