The dream of the youth of state to join the Punjab Police will soon turn into a reality. The police has announced recruitment for 1746 constable posts. The online application process for recruitment will start from 7 am on February 21 and will continue till 11.55 pm on March 13.

In this recruitment process, recruitment will be done for 1216 posts in the district cadre and 485 posts in the armed cadre. Any citizen of the country can participate in the recruitment process. The minimum age limit for recruitment has been fixed at 18 years and a maximum 28 years. Applicants belonging to the reserved category will be given a relaxation of five years. They will be able to apply up to the age of 33 years.
The education requirement for recruitment to this post is 12th pass or its equivalent. While in the Ex-Servicemen category, the required qualification is 10th pass. Along with this, the applicant should complete this study before January 1, 2025. If any kind of help is required, people will be able to get help from the help desk.
Passing the Punjabi language test is mandatory.
All applicants should have studied Punjabi subject on or before January 1, 2025. Secondly, if any dependent of the defence services personnel who is a natural resident of the state of Punjab is appointed by direct appointment, he must have passed the Punjabi language test equivalent to the standard of Matriculation or he must have passed the test conducted by the Language Wing of the Education Department, Government of Punjab within two years from the date of his appointment.
