Farmer returning from Khanauri border dies on way

Farmers' union leader Maninderjit Singh has said that the farmer was constantly standing at the Khanori border and was attending the Maha Panchayat yesterday.

Khanauri Border: There is news of another farmer’s death from Khanauri border. According to the information, this farmer from village Alampura of Lehragaga had gone to attend the Mahapanchayat yesterday, who died on the way. The deceased has been identified as Surinderjit Singh, age 58.

Farmers’ union leader Maninderjit Singh has said that the farmer was constantly standing at the Khanori border and was attending the Maha Panchayat yesterday. When he returned, he felt chest pain on the way and died. He has demanded that the farmers have been sitting on the borders for a year and many farmers have been martyred.

He said that the government should fulfill the demands of the farmers so that the farmers can go to their respective homes.

Doctor Tulesh said that we have received the dead body of a farmer who, according to his family, had attended the Maha Panchayat yesterday. When they brought him to the hospital, he had died. He has said that the dead body will be sent to the hospital for postmortem. Reportedly, the farmer died of cardiac arrest at the border.
