Panchkula: Bollywood singer Arijit Singh is having a live concert in Panchkula, Haryana today on 16 February. Preparations for this have been completed. The police has made tight security arrangements for this concert to be held at Shalimar Ground in Sector-5 of Panchkula. DCP Himadri Kaushik and DCP Traffic and Mukesh Malhotra inspected the venue.
According to the information, 300 police personnel will be deployed for Arijit Singh’s live concert. 16 police checkpoints will be set up. Thousands of spectators are expected to attend the event from many states including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. In view of this, the police has issued a special advisory regarding traffic arrangements.
DCP Mukesh Malhotra said that the roads around Shalimar Ground will remain closed on February 16 and some routes will be diverted. The general public has been appealed to follow the traffic advisory so that traffic jams can be avoided.
ACP Dinesh Kaushik, SHO Traffic Arun Vishnoi and other senior police officers were also present to take stock of the preparations for the program. The officers inspected the event venue in detail and reviewed all aspects of security.
ACP Dinesh Kumar said that the Panchkula police has made elaborate security and traffic arrangements for Bollywood singer Arijit’s programme to be held on February 16. He said that during the programme, police checkposts will be set up at various places and parking arrangements have been made for VIPs and common people on both sides of the venue.
