Guntur: A tragic accident in Guntur district resulted in the deaths of three women and injuries to eight others when an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus collided with an autorickshaw. The incident took place in the Chebrolu mandal area.
The victims were identified as Aruna, Nacharamma, and Seetharavamma, all from Shuddapalli village in the same mandal. Reports indicate that the collision occurred while the autorickshaw was transporting labourers to a chilli field in Neerukonda village. The three women, who were passengers in the autorickshaw, died at the scene.
In addition to the deceased, five other individuals, including the auto driver, sustained injuries and were taken to Guntur General Hospital for treatment. Authorities from Chebrolu police have filed a report and are investigating the details of the accident.
Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister Mandali Ramprasad Reddy expressed his sorrow regarding the incident, instructing officials to ensure that the injured receive proper medical care at Guntur General Hospital. He also extended his condolences to the families of the deceased labourers.
