Bhagalpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bhagalpur on February 24 at 11 AM to hold a public rally at the Airport Ground in anticipation of the 2025 Bihar elections. He will be accompanied by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and the rally is expected to draw around 500,000 farmers. The event will include the distribution of the Kisan Samman Nidhi and a public meeting, where PM Modi will release the 19th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi, focusing on the welfare and prosperity of farmers.

BJP leader Sahnawaj Hussain mentioned to ANI that senior leaders from the NDA will be present, along with attendees from 13 districts, including Bhagalpur, Munger, and Begusarai. BJP leaders are confident about securing over 200 seats in Bihar, crediting the strong NDA alliance and the performance of the double-engine government led by PM Modi and Nitish Kumar. “Similar to our success in Delhi, we will also win in Bihar,” Hussain stated.

The BJP, JD(U), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustan Awam Morcha, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha are all part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. In contrast, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav dismissed the influence of Delhi’s election results on Bihar, suggesting that the BJP has no chance of forming a government in the state. Speaking with the media, Yadav asserted that the electorate has recognized the BJP’s limitations, saying, “How can they form the government with us here? The people are aware of the BJP now.” The Bihar Legislative Assembly elections for all 243 constituencies are slated for October or November this year, following the last elections in October-November 2020.
