Chandigarh: The weather has changed in Haryana from today. Due to the effect of Western Disturbance (WD), drizzle and cloudiness is expected in the south-western areas of Haryana. Since morning, the sky is cloudy in the south-western districts of Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri and light drizzle is possible here.
On the other hand, partly cloudy weather can be seen in the rest of Haryana. Temperatures are likely to remain high in the districts of South Haryana. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of snowfall and rain in the mountains. Its effect will be clearly visible in the plains as well.
The temperature will remain normal or less for a week. But after the effect of WD ends, the heat will increase again in the last week of February. Currently, the highest temperature of 28.9 degrees has been recorded in Faridabad, the southern district of Haryana.
According to HAU, the weather will change till 21st
Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Haryana Agricultural University, says that the weather in the state of Haryana is likely to remain generally variable till February 21. During this time, due to the partial effect of western disturbance, there is a possibility of intermittent partly cloudy weather in most parts of the state from February 18 to February 20 due to the change in winds.
But on February 18, there may be sporadic drizzle at some places in the south-western areas and on February 20, there may be drizzle or light rain in most areas of northern and south-western Haryana. Due to this, there is a possibility of a slight drop in the day temperature. But after February 21, the weather in the state will generally be dry and the night temperature may fall.
