As per police, the arrested accused have been identified as Harmandeep Singh from Village Mahal, Amritsar. The said accused was constantly in-touch with a Pakistan-based smuggler Chacha Bawa.
DGP Yadav further added that Chacha Bawa, Pakistan-based drug smuggler used to send heroin via drone in the Attari sector for further distribution.
Police have lodged an FIR under the NDPS Act has been registered & further investigation is underway to identify other associates.
DGP Yadav assured that the Punjab Police is committed to its resolve to eliminate drug trafficking and ensure a safer Punjab.
