Bengaluru: In a move to support India’s digital transformation, tech giant Google inaugurated its ‘Ananta’ campus today, marking it as one of the company’s largest offices worldwide.

Highlighting India’s pivotal role in technology, Google noted the country’s vibrant startup ecosystem, robust digital public infrastructure, and the diverse talents of Indian creators. The ‘Ananta’ campus is part of Google’s commitment to build solutions for India and the global community.

Anand Rangarajan, Vice President of Google DeepMind, stated, “For Google, India presents a unique opportunity not only to engage millions of users with our products but also to have those products shaped by Indian creativity, making them more valuable for billions globally.”

Situated in Bengaluru, one of the fastest-growing tech hubs, the Ananta campus is described as “one of our most ambitious ground-up developments.” It is a collaboration between Google India and a local design team, showcasing the company’s innovative approach to workplace design. The name ‘Ananta’ translates to ‘infinite’ or ‘limitless’ in Sanskrit, as explained by Sunil Rao, Vice President of Global Delivery at Google Cloud India.

The state-of-the-art campus includes one of the largest installations of electro-chromic glass in India and features a sculpted, fluid facade for aesthetic appeal.

Google emphasized that the Ananta campus will enhance its ability to deliver top-tier products, strengthen partnerships with customers, and address complex challenges faced by users, businesses, and startups both in India and globally.
