Punjab Weather Update: Yellow Rain alert issued, average temperature drops

These changes are being seen due to the activation of Western Disturbance.

A yellow alert has been issued for rain in Punjab today. It has predicted rain with strong winds. It has been raining in many districts since night. At the same time, the average maximum temperature has dropped by 1.1 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.

However, it is 3.5 degrees Celsius above normal in the state. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, which was in Patiala. These changes are being seen due to the activation of Western Disturbance.

Yesterday i.e. on Wednesday, most of the cities of Punjab remained cloudy. According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued for rain in Pathankot, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Ludhiana, SAS Nagar, Sangrur, Patiala, Mansa and Bathinda in Punjab today.

The temperature in Punjab has been falling since the activation of Western Disturbance. It is expected that this fall will continue today as well. But after that the weather will remain dry for a week. During this time, a slight increase in temperature will be seen.
