New Delhi: BJP leader Parvesh Verma, when asked about the potential of becoming Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, reiterated his loyalty to the party, stating he will always remain a devoted worker. In a media interaction, Verma expressed his willingness to take on any responsibilities assigned to him, highlighting his commitment to serving the BJP wholeheartedly.

“I have consistently said that I am a dedicated BJP worker, and that will never change. The BJP enabled my father to become the Chief Minister of Delhi, and he served the party until his last moments. I will diligently fulfill any role the party entrusts to me,” Parvesh remarked.

He also emphasized that the party intends to honor every promise made in their manifesto. “The people of Delhi have shown us immense love, and after 27 years, a BJP government is on the verge of taking shape in Delhi. I am thankful to PM Modi, whose vision for development has gained the people’s trust. They believe that under PM Modi’s leadership, we will transform Delhi into a beautiful capital,” he stated.

Verma extended his best wishes to all party workers, acknowledging that their efforts have led to this momentous day. “Today is significant. We will fulfill our promise for a developed Delhi. Everything outlined in our manifesto will be achieved,” he added.

Rekha Gupta is set to be sworn in as Delhi’s Chief Minister at a ceremony at Ramilila Maidan, alongside six other ministers, including Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh. Rekha will be the fourth woman to hold the Chief Minister position in Delhi, following leaders from the BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party. She will succeed Atishi.

Elected from the Shalimar Bagh constituency, Rekha has previously served as the general secretary of the BJP Mahila Morcha in Delhi and as a member of its national executive committee. In these capacities, she has launched various initiatives for the welfare of marginalized communities and women.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to form a government in the national capital after 27 years, having won 48 out of 70 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party secured only 22 seats in the recent assembly elections. Congress has failed to win a seat for the third consecutive election.
